Northern Hawk Owl First Encounter

I had a great first encounter with the Northern Hawk Owl. It took three outings, one during a snow squall which I had to abandon. On the third try, I finally spotted it high up in the top of a tree.

I shot this on my OM-1 MKII with M.Zuiko Digital ED 150-400mm F4.5. Because the bird was so far away, I engaged the internal 1.25x teleconverter to bring the focal length to a 1000mm full-frame equivalent.
